Volunteer Services

Donate OnlineThe association Fehérlófia works as a dispatching- and sending organisation for the European Voluntary Service within the scope of the EU program “Youth in Action” as well as trust financed voluntary services and in the scope of the voluntary social year.

Sending-activity

In the last three years we sent two youths every year from the former orphanage in Székelykeresztúr to other European countries. For instance in the summer of 2006 Geza (20) went to Lithuania for two months, Csuki (25) went to Bautzen, to the youth centre TiK Bautzen, for five months and in this year Manci (21) went to the deaconry Stetten. For a successful dispatch it needs usually three Partners, one dispatching and one receiving organisation as well as a co-ordinator. We work for instance with In Via in Dresden and Cologne, the “Matulaitis Social Centre” in Lithuania and the Association “Initiative Christen für Europa e.V.

Receiving activity

Since 1990 the “Romania Initiative Group Bautzen” dispatches young people to Székelykeresztúr, so they can work with the children and the youths of the former orphanage. If you count all the volunteers, which were dispatched from Bautzen our current volunteers have the service numbers 67 and 68. We finance the volunteer positions with help from the fund “Erinnerung und Zukunft” of the trust “Erinnerung, Verantwortung und Zukunft” financed by German government.

The Association Fehérlófia is also a recognised reception place in the scope of the European voluntary service. Our identification number is 2004-RO-22.

We are looking for young romanian-hungarian volunteers for assignment in Germany with begin of service in July or September 2008.
